Our brother will be greatly missed and we will continue on in his honor. We love and miss you. THE STEPPEN STONZ WAS INDUCTED INTO THE OMAHA BLACK MUSIC HALL OF FAME. THEY WERE PRESENTED WITH THE "SHOW CASE LEGEND AWARD" FOR THE OMAHA BLACK MUSIC HALL OF FAME. THE CEREMONY WAS HELD IN OMAHA, AT HARRAH'S HOTEL CASINO. THERE WAS DINING, DANCING AND THE AWARDS PRESENTATION. THE BAND COULDN'T ATTEND BECAUSE THEY HAD A PREVIOUS ENGAGEMENT IN LAS VEGAS, AT THE LUXOR HOTEL CASINO. THE BAND IS VERY HONORED TO HAVE RECEIVED SUCH A PRESTIGIOUS AWARD.

The Steppen Stonz will be performing in their home town of Omaha,NE for the 2007 Black Music Hall of Fame Awards Ceremony on August 3, 2007. It will be held at The Qwest Center. This will be their first performance at home since 1980. It will also be the first time they have performed with the original band members in 30 years. They will also be doing a tribute to former original member, John Matthews. We are very honored to be a part of this celebration.
Just to let our friends know, that our performance in Omaha turned out fantastic. It was so good to be back on stage with our original Steppen Stonz Family...Melvin, Glenn, Ernie and Bobby. Of coarse, Andre was keeping the beat as usual (drums). We gave a short tribute to John, which everyone enjoyed and performed in his honor. We deeply appreciate the other guys for coming such a long distance to be a part of this. We love you!!!
